This Colt Series 70 Government Model was produced in 1977. It is finished in Colt's Nickel with factory checkered walnut grips.
In 1970 Colt introduced the Collet style barrel bushing along with the accursizer barrel. The concept was to get the accuracy of a custom shop pistol without the cost or time associated with custom fitting a standard barrel bushing.
