The Colt Target pistols were the predecessor to what would be known eventually as "The Woodsman". This name change in the pistol would come into effect in 1927.
This first style of pistol featured a very thin pencil barrel. The Pencil barrel on this Target pistol starts at .500" just forward the receiver then tapers to .475 at the muzzle.
Accompanying this pistol is the original factory box, instruction sheet, notice about the proper ammunition to be used and the hang tag.
