This Colt Commando was shipped to the Wisconsin Electric Power Company ATTN: G.G. Post / Room 314, 231 West Michigan Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 3rd, 1943 in a 60 gun shipment.
There have been other Colt's documented during WW2 that have shipped to Power Companies, Water Districts and other critical utilities. The thought was to arm local guards at these utilities in effort to prevent a possible attack.
