This Colt Delta Elite First Edition was produced in Colt's raw stainless steel and has Ebony with special medallions that feature a silver serpentine "Colt" on a black background.  It was shipped on January 27th, to Midwest Recreational Shooting Supply in Ashland Ohio.

This is the Colt Delta Elite First Edition and includes the factory plastic case along with the original numbered outer box.  The letter states: Presentation Case: Black composition carrying case with die cut foam interior to accommodate the pistol and a spare magazine.

The 10MM Auto cartridge was first developed by Jeff Cooper and introduced in 1983 with the Bren Ten Pistol.  In 1989 the FBI would would select the cartridge for service for a short period of time. 

Factory Letter Remarks:  The pistols in this special edition offering were also equipped with the following special features:
A beveled magazine well
An extra magazine
A checkered mainspring housing
A serrated front strap

This edition also carries the special rollmark "-DELTA ELITE/First Edition/10MM (within the Delta Logo)/ Stainless" on the left side of the slide, and "Government Model - Colt 10MM Auto" on the right side of the slide.

It is interesting to note that the pistols in this edition were the first 1,000 stainless steel 10MM Delta Elite semiautomatic pistols produced by Colts. These pistols also carry the special serial number range of 10S50001 through 10SS1000.
