This Colt Government Model was shipped December 9th, 1925 to the Von Lengerke and Antoine of Chicago, Illinois on factory order #10080/2 in a single gun shipment. Further remarks state the pistol was purchased by Von Lengerke and Antoine on May 26th, 1926. Normally pistols such as this were on display in the store to showcase Colt's capabilities in custom ordering options.
This Factory Engraved Government Model still wears it's original blue finish and factory issued Ivory grips. Due to the manufacture date of this pistol and the style of engraving, it's safe to assume that the engraving work of this pistol was that of Wilbur Glahn.
