Colt Pocket Experimental Prototype 22LR SN:GX7137

  • Caliber: 22LR
  • Caliber: 25ACP
  • Era: Post-War
  • Serial Number: GX7137
  • Shipment Type: Experimental

This Colt Experimental Prototype Pocket Model GX7137 was a post-war prototype and the next progression step of the 1908 Vest Pocket.  Ultimately this design would not get much traction past this thus this was the end of the road for the model N.

Some things to note is the longer 2 3/16" barrel chambered in 22LR.  The magazine for this prototype is significantly different then the vest pocket to accommodate for the 22LR cartridge.

The finish is a dark blue and the slide is unmarked.  The prototype Serial number GX7137 is hand stamped on the right side of the frame.

The grips are smooth varnished select walnut grips made without rampant colt medallion inlays.

The trigger and grip safety are blue while the thumb safety is a case colored.
