This Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless was shipped to the Jensen, King and Bird Company of Spokane Washington on August 30th, 1910 in a 25 gun shipment. It's considered to be a type 2 pistol with a shorter 3 3/4" barrel but still has the separate barrel bushing. Thumb safety has the external retaining screw. This pistol is finished in Colt's high polish blue finish with fire blue small parts. The grips are type 1 hard rubber with the scallops along the name colt.
There was a change in the formula used in the firing ovens during this period. resulting in the markedly different shades of blue. This pistol is able to be seen with occasional purple hues.
