This Colt M45A1 Close Quarter Battle Pistol was a commercially sold pistol that came through the Colt custom shop. According to the end label on the box this was produced 02/21/2014. This pistol was shipped March 27th, 2014.
The factory letter states the Finish is: Desert Tan Cerakoated Stainless. Type of Stocks: Desert camouflage G10 composite stocks. Special Features: Furnished with front and rear slide serrations, a long solid aluminum trigger, an enhanced hammer with elongated slot, an upswept beavertail grip safety with palm swell, a Colt Tactical ambidextrous safety lock, a National Match barrel, a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail, a flat serrated stainless mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and Novak 3 dot night sights
Accessories: A custom designed Pelican case, two 7-round magazines, and a Colt branded Otis cleaning kit.
Remarks: Records indicate this pistol was hand crafted by the Colt Custom Shop, which provided hand fitting of all critical mating parts. The pistol was test fired by the Custom Shop and supplied with the actual test target.
It is of further interest to note that the USMC roll mark on the slide was discontinued for commercial use on May 1, 2014.
